Borga Revolution!: From Highlife to Boogie: Ghana, 1979 - 1988 (Vol. 4) Various Artists

Kalita presents the fourth and final instalment of their groundbreaking `Borga Revolution!' series, uncovering another selection of essential recordings from the rich and far-reaching world of Ghanaian highlife.

Spanning deep, hypnotic highlife through to the vibrant electronic productions of 1980s Burger Highlife, Volume 4 captures a period of extraordinary musical change, as Ghanaian artists absorbed influences from funk, disco, boogie, and new synthesizer technology.

With previous volumes championed by tastemakers including Gilles Peterson, Antal, Tom Ravenscroft, and Hunee, this final chapter turns its attention once again to the music of the Ghanaian diaspora.
